Here we are at Labor Day weekend again. This is the beginning of the fourth year of my retirement. I have had no regrets and no need to visit a school or hang out with teens.

I've been wondering how a person is suppose to know if they are just getting forgetful like older people do or if something more serious is lurking. Warren and I argue too much any more about things that we remember totally different. I am completely convinced that I am remembering correctly and that Warren has a problem. I'm sure he is worried about me developing Alzheimer. How are two older people supposed to know whether they should be worried about themselves or the other one?

I was so hyped up after Obama's speech on Thursday evening. I actually missed the whole thing but listened to some of the after sound bites. It was very exciting. Obama is such a great speaker especially after the man of the last eight years. I went to bed thinking that John McCain was going to have to do some hustling to catch up. Then, the announcement of Friday Morning came and I am now convinced that McCain has lost his mind. How can he continue to say Obama hasn't enough experience when he has picked a former mayor of a small community in Alaska with less than two years experience as the Governor? It is nice that he picked a former University of Idaho graduate and a former beauty queen. It is even nice that he picked a woman. But, I also think, if he thinks women in this country are dumb enough to vote for him because he has a woman running as VEEP, he has a very low opinion of the intelligence of women in this country. If he wanted a woman to run beside him, there must be a qualified
Republican woman with a little political experience who could step up to the presidency if necessary. Let's face it, McCain is OLD. He can't remember how many houses he owns. (I wonder if he and his wife argue about how many houses they own.) I saw a woman today wearing an "Elect Obama" tee shirt so I am not the only woman in Idaho who plans to elect Obama!

A private fiber optic company put computer and telephone service into our neighborhood as the subdivison was being built. If we wanted to have the service the company brought the service into our homes at no cost to us. I have been very happy with the service until the past few months. Internet service
has slowed way down until it is about to drive me crackers. I have checked with one neighbor and they are having the same issue so it is not something with just me. A repairman came out and messed with stuff in the garage this past Monday. It was strange because things were running nice and fast on Monday while he was here. What he did did not fix the problem
so he needs to work on it some more or the company will lose some customers. I hate to change because it means a new email address and maybe land phone number. I will be changing if they don't figure things out soon.

Warren is feeling much better. Walking bothers his legs and that is because of the clogged arteries in his legs. We neither one want to do anything about those unless it becomes a case where he has no choice. Over all, we are both doing pretty well as much as I can
remember.
